Giveaway: Cuts Like a Knife
It’s Giveaway Day again here at the GC.
This week, we’re giving away one of our favorite knives – the Kershaw Ken Onion Leek, in the matte black finish.
One hand open, sharp, slim, sleek and stainless steel – everything about this knife screams sexy*. This is NOT your dad’s swiss army knife*.
*the knife doesn’t actually talk. That’s just an expression.
*which was my first knife – it weighed about 3 lbs.* and the blade was sharper on the dull side than the sharp side, and the scissors were used to cut about 10 trillion pecan leaves, since that’s about all they’d cut. It was also amazing, because it had a corkscrew, nail file, 17 different knife blades, and a toothpick
*it probably weighed 2 oz, but, hey, I’m a fishing guide
A couple of random thoughts before we get into this weeks giveaway:
- Fishing’s still awesome, but the red tide has cost us some time. Losing bait, changing plans – the wind should be helping to push it offshore some, but some damage has already been done. Let’s just hope for a cold front.
- Cold fronts are great for more reasons than the red tide – the snook will begin to move into their fall/winter haunts. One of my favorite times of year, getting to fish in the rivers and canals – snook, tarpon, trout, reds, black drum, and jacks, to say nothing of the sheepshead and snapper.
- It’s never too early to book your trip for the winter or even next tarpon season! The merry month of May will fill up fast, and a guided tarpon trip would look good under your Christmas tree!
So – you know the drill – enter up to 3 times (once per method) – retweet this tweet, thumbs up our top facebook status, and leave a comment here on the blog with the word “KERSHAW” – for bonus credit, tell us what your first knife was . . .
